Dr. Jennifer Wailing Wong, L. Ac. Ph.D. in Oriental Medicine
Dr. Wong was influenced by her grandfather in Traditional Chinese Medicine TCM who was a TCM doctor specializing in women’s health. She was encouraged by reading her grandfather’s practice notes to describe the treatments and effective prescriptions to help solve many kinds of women’s health issues. She was passionate about healing modalities and alternative treatments. Chinese Medicine gave the opportunity to follow the path. She also studied Dr. Choi’s Korean style facial acupuncture in beauty and restoration.
After a few years of practice, she continued to study in the Ph.D. program to obtain an advanced degree. Meantime, she was interested in muscle tissue and structural medicine to solve the pain syndromes. This special acupuncture technique can effectively and quickly release most of the body pain in acute and chronic conditions either in sport injury or structural disorder. Her goal is to help patients become pain-free and enjoy their lives through the holistic health system of Chinese Medicine. Dr. Lawrence Mo, L. Ac. Ph.D. in Oriental Medicine
Dr. Mo was a veteran in the semiconductor high-tech industry in Silicon Valley California. He was thinking there may be a better or alternative way of medicine to help patients when he encountered patient’s health issues. He thought about the Traditional Chinese Medicine TCM that has been used for thousands of years. There should be a strong theory and practical methods in this system. He found out the system is very logical and practical for the treatments of a variety of acute and chronic issues. In addition to the official training and knowledge from medicine school, he also studied other teachers’ expertise like the traditional prescriptions from Shang Han Lun and special manual therapy to strengthen his capabilities. After 5 years of successful practice, he studied in the Ph.D. program to obtain an advanced degree. Meantime, he was teaching in the medicine school to express his experience to train more health providers in this field.
In recent years’ study, he was interested in the five-element motions and six-climatic qi changes in TCM. This special theory is to connect the human body system to the grand nature and universe system in order to treat and resolve the issues of imbalance in our body. This system is called Time and Space Medicine that is one of the effective applications in TCM. Dr. Mo is focusing on treatments for pain conditions, internal medicine, allergy, women’s health, depression and anxiety.
